Can I get back something I removed?

Yes, until you empty the Trash. Choose Put everything back on the Done page, or File > Put Back Last Cleanup. Items you chose to delete permanently on the confirmation card can't be put back; that option is off every time.

Why does CatalogSweep ask for access to folders and drives?

Apps from the Mac App Store can only look where you allow. Give access to the folders and drives that hold your catalogs. You can change this any time in CatalogSweep > Settings.

Why isn't something offered for removal?

Anything that could be the last copy of a photo, edit or preset stays. The Protected tab lists what was kept and why.

A drive wasn't scanned.

Connect it, choose New scan, and tick it. If it's a network drive, mount it in the Finder first. Items on a network drive can't go to the Trash, so CatalogSweep leaves them and tells you.

I bought the unlock on another Mac.

Choose Restore purchase on the unlock card, signed in with the same Apple Account.

How do I restore a backup?

Choose Restore in the sidebar, then the backup on your drive. CatalogSweep shows what's inside and never overwrites a file that's already on your Mac.

Does CatalogSweep collect any data?

No. Everything happens on your Mac. See the Privacy Policy.
