Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 29, 2026
Short version: CatalogSweep doesn't collect, store or share any personal data. Everything happens on your Mac.
What the app looks at
To find Lightroom Classic files, the app reads, on your Mac and on drives you choose:
- file and folder names, sizes and dates,
- Lightroom Classic's own settings (which catalog it uses and its recent catalogs),
- information inside your Lightroom Classic catalogs, such as photo counts, photo IDs, edit dates, and where your original photos are stored, so it can tell old copies from catalogs you use.
All of this is read in place, read-only, and used only to show you results in the app. None of it leaves your Mac. The app has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking and no servers of its own.
What the app saves on your Mac
- Your choices, like whether you've confirmed having a backup, in the app's own settings.
- A list of the files it moved to the Trash in your last cleanup, so it can put them back, plus the folders and drives you gave it access to and your backup and check schedules. These stay in the app's own storage on your Mac and are removed when you delete the app and its data.

In-app purchases are processed by Apple. We receive no payment details. Apple's privacy policy applies to purchases: https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/
